October in Brampton is easily one of the best times for a celebration, and Shaza and Hamza’s day at Lionhead Golf and Country Club was proof of that. We spent the early afternoon capturing close family portraits and the intricate decor setup before moving into the ceremony. For a Brampton Nikkah venue, you really can’t beat the Aberdeen Terrace. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls overlook the golf course and flood the room with soft natural light, which is a dream for any photographer. It gave the whole ceremony a bright, airy feeling while keeping the focus on the tradition and the family gathered together.
After the Nikkah, we headed out onto the greens for their couple’s session. The fall colors were at their absolute peak, with the deep reds and oranges of the trees providing a natural, vibrant backdrop for their portraits. The landscape at Lionhead in the fall is so distinct that it creates a completely different look than a summer wedding. We wrapped up the outdoor photos just as the light was fading and moved into the Edinburgh Hall for an intimate dinner. It was a perfect transition from the nature-heavy afternoon to a warm, elegant reception to end the night.
